Football Without Limits
City Comets is a recreational, disability football offer for disabled children, backed by the FA. Sessions take place on a weekly basis and are focused on helping disabled children have fun, whilst building confidence, independence and social relationships.
City Comets sessions are ideal for players starting their football journey or those looking for extra football practice who do not play for a team, boys and girls alike, with a formal diagnosis. Each session has a theme or topic to ensure that players are learning and developing new skills each week, whilst being fun, enjoyable, and engaging for all players.
City Comets PD:
A weekly training centre for young people aged 8-12 or 13-16, with a range of physical disabilities or a combination of physical and learning needs. Ideal for those looking to build confidence, develop gross motor skills, and focus on football-specific techniques in a supportive environment.
City Comets CP:
A weekly training centre for young people aged 8-14 with Cerebral Palsy. The aim to provide disability specific opportunities for participation and a long term vision to build a pathway to our adult CP Team for both boys and girls.
City Comets ND:
A weekly training centre offering neurodivergent young people aged 8-12 or 13-16 the opportunity to develop confidence, motor skills and football techniques in a safe, fun and non-competitive setting, with a focus on individual progress at each player's own pace.
Comets Centres all operate for one hour every Saturday morning during term time at York Sport
Village (9.30-10.30am or 10.30-11.30am depending on the group). Centres run from September to July and spaces are secured for the year with monthly payments, based on £5.50 per session.

Junior Pan Disability u12 & u16:
A performance-focused programme for players aged 8-12 or 13-16 who are ready to improve their football skills in a more competitive environment, with a monthly games programme training and playing in the Ability Counts League. New players may be advised to start at the Comets PD u12 or u16, before committing to the team, or if they have played before and spaces are available, may be invited to join the U12 or U16 team accordingly
Annual membership is subsidised and a monthly payment plan is based on £3 per session pro rata. Training takes place Saturdays 10.30-11.30 am at York Sport Village pitches. To find out more information or to book a taster session, contact enquiries@yorkcityfcfoundation.co.uk
Adult Pan Disability:
The Adult Pan Disability programme, has doubled to two teams, the Ebors and the Jorviks - giving even more adults the chance to train, compete and be part of York’s thriving disability football community.
The Adult Pan Disability teams provide a weekly training and playing opportunity for players aged 16+ to compete in tournaments including the County Cup and Ability Counts League on a monthly basis.
Players have a range of physical disabilities or a combination of physical and learning needs, and should wish to commit to both the training and playing environment.
Training take place every Friday evening from 5:30-6:25pm at Energise Leisure Centre. Players join for the season and a monthly payment plan is offered. To find out more or book a trial, contact enquriries@yorkcityfcfoundation.co.uk
York City Foundation Cerebral Palsy Team:
York City Foundation’s Cerebral Palsy team competes at the highest national level in the CP National League, representing York and the North East with pride.
The 7-a-side team for ambulant individuals aged 16+, trains weekly and plays monthly across the country. The league’s player requirements enable players with CP, brain injury or recovering from stroke to compete. Training and matches take place on Saturdays.
The Team is supported by Front of Shirt sponsors, Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, travel sponsors,Pullman York and York City Vice Presidents Association, and various player sponsors.
